As a first-generation Christian immigrant from Iran, I came to the United States at the age of 19 to seek a better life. It was a dream come true to call this wonderful nation of ours home.
I struggled for years to learn the language and to pay my bills and to go to school to earn my education. But thanks to my family and friends and the blessing of God, I managed to get by.
Those were tough times! But I knew it could be different because my parents taught me if you work hard, you can make it. and when times were tough, I got on my knees and prayed.
In 2010 I launched a new business, rolled up my sleeves, worked hard and I saw exponential growth.
I know what it’s like to be an immigrant, to start from the bottom. To build, to grow, to work and to contribute.
Today, I can proudly say that I am an example of an American dream where you can achieve anything if you work hard.
When I got up on my feet, I knew I wanted to help other people get their shot of their American dream. Because that dream came true for me.
The way I see it, the American dream is a combination of working hard and having faith in what you do but also reaching out to help those who need a hand.
That has certainly been the story of my life. That is the story of America!
